 Beef Aloo Keema

                    is a delicious and flavorful dish made with ground beef and potatoes, cooked with aromatic spices. Here's a simple recipe for you to try





Ingredients


  • 500g ground beef
  •  2 medium-sized potatoes, peeled and diced
  •  2 medium-sized onions, finely chopped
  •  2-3 cloves of garlic, minced
  •  1-inch piece of ginger, grated
  •  2-3 green chilies, finely chopped (adjust according to your spice preference)
  •  1 large tomato, chopped
  •  2 tablespoons vegetable oil or ghee (clarified butter)
  •  1 teaspoon cumin seeds
  •  1 teaspoon ground turmeric
  •  1 teaspoon ground coriander
  •  1 teaspoon ground cumin
  •  12 teaspoon red chili powder (adjust to taste)
  •  12 teaspoon garam masala
  •  Salt, to taste
  •  Fresh cilantro (coriander leaves) for garnish
  •  Lemon wedges, for serving


Instructions


1. Heat oil or ghee in a large pan over medium heat. Add the cumin seeds and let them splutter.


2. Add the finely chopped onions and sauté until they turn golden brown.


3. Add the minced garlic, grated ginger, and green chilies. Sauté for another minute or until the raw smell of the garlic disappears.


4. Now, add the ground beef to the pan and break it up with a spoon. Cook the beef until it's browned and cooked through, stirring occasionally to ensure even cooking.


5. Add the chopped tomatoes, ground turmeric, ground coriander, ground cumin, red chili powder, and salt. Mix well and let it cook for a few minutes until the tomatoes become soft and the spices are well combined.


6. Add the diced potatoes to the mixture and mix everything together. Add a splash of water if the mixture appears too dry. Cover the pan and let it simmer on low heat until the potatoes are tender and cooked through. Stir occasionally to prevent sticking.


7. Once the potatoes are cooked, add garam masala and mix it in. Adjust salt and spice levels according to your taste preferences.


8. Garnish with fresh cilantro leaves.
